Color Your Nursery With Baby-Safe Lullaby Paints

We know how exciting it can be when expecting a new addition to the family, but it sure does involve prep work. Buying baby gear and preparing a nursery can take a lot of time and research. Today, more than ever, we have a heightened awareness of chemicals and toxins that could affect our health, so of course making a little one’s nursery a healthy safe haven is priority number one for mom and dad.

Lullaby Paints is a baby safe paint free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs, such as formaldehyde, glycol, benzene and other toxins, are common in most paints and can be dangerous to our health, especially baby’s health.

“Babies are more vulnerable than adults, leading to greater effects from VOC chemicals, in particular glycol compounds,” says Julian Crawford, CEO of Lullaby Paints. “A Harvard School of Public Health study actually showed that babies exposed to glycol compounds in paint were more likely to develop asthma and allergies as children. We made sure that Lullaby Paints is glycol-free.”

Why is VOC-free so important? Because even after a new coat of traditional paint dries and the room is free of that fresh paint smell, VOCs can still leak into the air for three to five years.

“Because of baby monitors, nursery doors are kept closed, which means these babies are spending a significant amount of time in an enclosed room,” says Crawford. “They are breathing in anything in the air released by the mattress, crib, carpet and paint. Today there’s a huge industry effort to improve these products.”

Apart from being baby safe, Lullaby Paints has ecofriendly packaging. The paints are stored in lightweight pouches, which means fewer resources were used to make, ship and manufacture the packaging. The packages are also easily resealable, prolonging the life of any leftover paint.

Lullaby Paint also covers more square feet per gallon than a typical gallon of paint. A standard gallon can cover about 350 square feet; Lullaby Paint covers 550 square feet per gallon. It also dries quickly and is made to last.

“Quality is very important,” says Crawford. “We want to give consumers the best performing paint without compromising the quality.”

Lullaby paint starts at around $60 per gallon. For more, visit www.lullabypaints.com
