Dalmik Well Drilling was established in 1987 by Michael Toutant. The name originated from the combination of Dale (Michael's son) and Michael's names, forming Dale-mike or Dalmik. But the history goes back a lot further than 1987. Michael was practically born on a well-drilling rig and grew up in the industry. The day he was born in 1957, his father, Roland Toutant, bought his first well-drilling rig. Calling himself Toutant Well Drilling, Roland learned the business from the ground up. Understanding the need for additional services not available in the industry as of yet, Roland originated and operated the company known as Numa Tool and partnered with Frank Laframboise in a well-drilling company called Laframboise and Toutant.
